About the piece:
This tumblr account contains photographs from the performance piece "I am...me." In this piece, a person wears a dry erase board and asks others to write on the dry erase board. Everything written on the dry erase board must be in the form "I am (something). (Do something to) me." Every time a new phrase is written on the board, a photo is taken.
About the artist:
My name is Jacob Rath. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and am part of a family of artists. I am currently a student at Macalester College, with a Double Major in Art and Math. As an artist, I like creating interactive art, but also enjoy working in fibers, drawing and linoleum printmaking. Aside from art I like exploring urban areas, Scrabble, and cats.

Text of Interest
This text is missing the “I am…” half. As a result it sounds much more desperate and aggressive. This makes me want to stick to the “I am…me” format even more.
This photograph marks the first time that the person writing the text also chose the pose of the model.
Rollover Text. Check and mate!
I’m not entirely sure what this is. Some thought-provoking phrase from some corner of the internet.
And she can walk through the wall if you want her to!
Rollover Text. The first text was written by a kid. In the second picture, the woman with the sunglasses drew the monster and posed as a monster for the picture.
Rollover text. Both of these things are hard to believe. Both of these also include artwork of other artists in the background. These paintings were on the perimeter of Tompkins Square Park during the Howl! Festival.

This is my friend Emily, who also volunteered to model for the I am…me project. These photos were taken at the Howl Festival! at Tompkins Square Park.
